Studying law externally

For today's Talk About Tuesday I thought I'd talk about how I study law and challenge myself academically and where I'd like to take my studies in the future. I study law externally (at home)and am pretty much able to study whenever I can. In a way I like this flexibility and its good in terms of allowing me to rest etc and take care of my health.

The downside of external study for me is staying on track with everything and staying motivated. I really need to be more organised and have better study habits but I have no idea how to do it. Any tips? More Talk About Tuesday can be found here.

We homeschool and I know with my kids we have to have a routine and do our school work at the same time every day or we don't get anything accomplished. Good luck with your studies!

We also homeschool. My biggest advise is to study the same time every day. YOu can change up what you're studying, but set the amount of time you want to devote to study and block out that time everyday. For us, we never plan anything outside the home from 8am-1pm. If there is a feild trip planned for that time we miss it. You know what I mean. make it a priority!

Karen I am a studying Children care, and has become a top priority for me. But I can't stop working 8hr/day, doing the laundry, dishes, walking the dogs and stuff like that. As well I have the writing course, that I enjoy so much.
I found that when I set up a time it goes smooth, even with a time set up I still have to stop time to time.
I think that enjoying and knowing why you are doing it is a big key to keep it uptodate.
In my case I am enjoying it so much. I don't see the time goes by and when I see I've done a lot.
Ask yourself how much you enjoy what you are doing and why you are doing it. Those questions can help you to be on track and acomplish your goal.
Hope It was of some help.
