another poem I wrote

She walks a fine line,
Between the edge & normality,
So over life, yet still alive,
Something inside her breaks.

She’s forgotten how to smile,
How to love,
Even how to care,
So broken that parts of her soul aren’t even there.

No one notices cos’ she’s gotten so good,
At pretending all is fine,
That she’s happy inside,
That she fits in society.

Sometimes she wishes,
That somebody cared,
Enough to see all that she really is.

So broken, lost & alone,
A butterfly without wings,
A moon with no stars,
A shell of a life.
